At 5:00 am on June 17th, Emily "Scamper" Harnden and Mark "Quickdraw" McGraw will help Gay Davis raise funds for children living with a cancer diagnosis. Scamper and Quickdraw will golf one of Gay's six rounds as part of Four Days Fore Kids at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course.
This year we are golfing for kids like Tom. We know Tom as "Beast" the 12 year old survivor of osteosarcoma and camper at Camp Ukandu!
"At Camp Ukandu I learned that I wasn't the only one who spent their days in a wheelchair. I learned I wasn't the only one who missed an entire year of school. I learned I wasn't the only one who had to relearn how to do everyday things. I learned that our lives may have been shattered, but together we can put the pieces back together again. [at Camp] We are not alone." - Mini Giggles, former camper
The mission of Camp UKANDU is to bring joy and hope to children living with cancer, their siblings, and their families through “outrageously fun” camp experiences.
We recognize that cancer impacts the entire family and we aim to provide parents and caregivers a respite from the physical, emotional and financial toll childhood cancer poses to families.
